Paola Villaescusa - IVC JRN101

Hi, my name is Paola Villaescusa and I’m 21 years old. I was born in El Centro, CA but lived in the quaint town of Heber until I was 16, which was when I moved back to El Centro and where I have resided since.

I’ve been a student at IVC since I graduated from high school in June 2006. I’m currently not working, but I worked at a restaurant in El Centro for about three years. When the recession hit and the restaurant closed down, I went back to school full-time to finish my journalism degree. I’m now set to graduate this spring with an A.A. in journalism. After graduation, I plan on looking for a job (hopefully writing somewhere), saving up money, and applying to various universities to continue my education.

I’m a huge book worm and an even bigger music fan; my dream is to write about music—but I wouldn’t mind writing about anything else. I have an insatiable curiosity about everything. I hope to be a successful writer and find out more about the world around us.

Paola’s projects include:

Imperial Valley College Disability Awareness Day

Welding and Fabrication Arts
